Biomics to co-develop a Hepatitis B RNAi therapeutic with Benitec

Biomics Biotechnologies Co. Ltd. has signed collaboration MOU with Benitec Ltd., to co-develop a Hepatitis B RNAi therapeutics.
This collaboration is the first time that Chinese healthcare company works with world famous healthcare company, co-developing therapeutics in RNAi industry, according to Biomics. The first step in this collaboration will be for the scientific teams from both companies to develop a project plan for high throughput target identification and validation. Once these targets are validated they will undergo preclinical testing before moving to early stage clinical trials. The companies will jointly share in intellectual property developed during this project and will also jointly collaborate in product development and commercialization.
