International biological experts gather in Changsha

The First Overseas High-level Talents Bioceutical Innovation Entrepreneurship Forum and the Fourth Chemical Biology and Innovative Drugs Sino-US Round Table Discussion opened in Changsha in 17th July, gathering the home and abroad top talents in the field of biochemistry together. Party Secretary Zhou Qiang met with the visiting experts and academicians at the pre-meeting. The Vice Governor Guo Kailang and Headmaster of Central South University Huang Boyun attended the opening ceremony.

It is reported that the Forum aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the Hunan biomedical academia and industry with domestic and foreign well-known scientists in the field of biomedical technology, enhance the visibility of Changsha National Biomedical industry, and promote overseas high-level talent to either start up business or work in Changsha.

As a core area of Hunan biological industry and the Midwest region's only state-level bio-industry base, Changsha has more than 60 bio-industry manufacturing scale enterprises, which accounts for more than 50% of total in Hunan. Biology economy has become a new growth point of accelerating the newly industrialization.
