Annual China SOCMA Gala Reception
and Dinner
The 2006 China SOCMA Gala Reception & Dinner, co-hosted by the Synthetic
Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association (SOCMA), Chemical & Engineering
News (C&EN), and supported by eChinaChem, Inc. attracted more than 200
executives from international and China companies and organizations, including
Honeywell, Penn Specialty, Dow Chemical, Chemtura, Rhodia, SynoPharm, Spectrum
Chemical, and Chemical Abstract Services.

The 2nd Annual China SOCMA Gala Reception & Dinner was held in April 2007 at
Shanghai. Delegates from Honeywell, Rohm & Haas, Chemtura, Rhodia, SAFC,
Hovione attended the grand gathering and they also invited their partners and
clients in China to join them. They expressed the idea that the gathering helps
build new cooperation and strengthen existing ones.

At the dinner, Rudy M.Baum, Editor-in-chief of C&EN, Benjamin W. Jones,
executive v. p. of C&EN, and Joseph Acker, Chairman of SOCMA cordially
greeted all the attendees. It is their common hope that China and international

this reception dinner. Frank Wicks, president of SAFC, made a speech as
featured speaker on the development and change of world pharmaceutical
industry.

China Chemical Summit (CCS)
The 1st China Chemical Summit (CCS 2007),
organized by eChinaChem, Inc. and held in conjunction with 2007 SOCMA China
Gala Reception & Dinner, brought together C-level and business owners of
top Chinese companies and global companies together to discuss the most
pressing issues on China and global chemical industry.
CPhI China . International Forum
The Chinese pharmaceutical industry is growing at an astonishing rate, a
whopping 28% growth last year. CPhI China tradeshow is at the center of all

InformexChina Conference
In the first Informex brand global expansion, InformexChina 2006, CMPi teamed up
with eChinaChem, Inc. to organize the first "China International Forum of Fine
Chemicals and Economic Cooperation" in conjunction with InformexChina, at
Guangzhou, China.
The Forum featured leading industry executives and prominent experts from China
and globally to provide insightful views on Chinese and global market trends.
The conference was preceded by an organized site tour of local chemical
manufacturing plants within the Guangzhou Development District.
